The vast majority of teas produced in this mountainous far-western portion of the Tamil-Nadu state of India are black CTC (crush tear curl) granular tea. However, the premier high-elevation estates generally produce a variety of high-grade black orthodox teas, and many also make green, white, or oolong variations.
